Meraki is one of the three chapters of the Dialoghi con l’arte project – created in collaboration with Meccaniche della Meraviglia – in which YoY Performing Arts establishes a ‘suggestive relationship’ with the work of art through movement. This choreography develops from Medhat Shafik’s installation Palmira: a search for inner balance and the awareness that reconstruction can only be achieved through a common path capable of increasing knowledge and experience. This is followed by Inesorabilmenteunavia that develops from the video installation by Iranian artist Bizhan Bassiri Il Bisonte, accompanied by Stefano Taglietti’s composition. The choreography represents the undisciplined path of nature that regenerates without ever ceasing its course and transforms pure energy into form and vice versa. An apparition of cosmic dimension that conquers space, creating a powerful energy charge.
